About Us

The Team

Starley Cross Community Safety Team was set up in 2018 and tasked with identify issues within the area and then using our specialist knowledge to come up with possible solution to help the community and reduce crime. Below you can read about each team member:

Oliver (7761630) – Situational crime prevention expert – My role is to identify areas in Starley Cross where there is opportunity for crime to occur. Once I have identified areas of criminal opportunity I implement surveillance or target hardening methods to remove the opportunity.

Louis (8306490) – Designing out crime architect- I will be looking at the physical structure of Starley Cross and how this can have an effect on crime rates. Furthermore, I will be completely redesigning areas to make Starley Cross a safer place to live.

Kamil (7658293) – Developmental crime prevention specialist – My name is Kamil and my focus is Developmental crime control. I will be altering the education system and training parents and teachers to ensure each child receives equal opportunities in order to reduce future crime rates.

Anik (8288912)- Community crime prevention authority – My focus within Starley Cross is working within the community crime prevention team. That entails basic prevention tactics that includes neighbourhood watch schemes and becoming an active citizen in the hopes to prevent crime.
